Death of W. S. Brown.
Wm. S. Brown, after a long illness, died Saturday night at nine o’clock at the residence of his son-in-law, E. G. Barnhizer, where he had been confined to his bed for several weeks.
Deceased was for many years a prominent business man in Franklin and was widely known throughout the County, as a kind, courteous, upright citizen.
He was born in New Jersey in 1822, and afterwards moved to New York, from which place he came with his family to Franklin in 1855. In this city he engaged in the undertaking business and followed it thirty years, retiring to his farm about five years ago in Needham township.
Besides the wife who survives are five children, viz: Mrs. Della Able, of Muncie; Mrs. Jennie Vandiver, of Wichita, Kansas; Mrs. W. B. McCollough, Mrs. E. G. Barnhizer and Albert Brown of this city.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from the Methodist church, conducted by Rev. T. G. Cocks.

The will of the late W. S. Brown was probated Wednesday. It provides that all his property, real and personal be given absolutely to his wife to dispose of in whatever way she might desire.
