Fatal Accident.
On Tuesday evening about six o’clock a most distressing accident happened at the home of James F. Brown, just south of town on the State road.
During milking time Mr. Brown’s four-year-old son, Clarence, was playing in the barn lot, running and climbing about. When Mr. Brown finished up his work he called to the boy and receiving no answer he supposed he had gone to the house, but when he reached there he found the boy had not yet come in. A search for him was at once instituted and he was found lying under a heavy wagon bed, dead. The wagon bed had been leaning up against some lumber and the little fellow had climbed upon it and it had fallen, crushing him under it.
The funeral took place from the residence yesterday morning at 10 o’clock, services being conducted by Eld. Frazier.
