The little one-year-old daughter of William Brown living near Smith’s Val­ley, died Tuesday morning from diph­theria. Several other cases of diphtheria are reported in the same neighborhood.

Since writing last week, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Brown, living on the farm of A. Browning on the Morgantown road, lost their infant child by diphtheritic croup, so reported.
