Funeral services conducted by Revs. Keith and Miller were held in Presbyterian Church, Tuesday. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Anna Comingore was born in Kentucky in 1825, removed to this state, and was married to John Brewer in 1845. To them were born seven children, six of whom survive, Charles and Edward, living near Rocklane; Mrs. Laura Rubush of Indianapolis; Mrs. Smith, Monument Col.; Mrs. Henry Pettit, Mrs. D. O. Tingle and Mrs. Wheat Tingle, who died some months ago. Sometime in the early 60’s Mr. Brewer died, being proprietor of the Enterprise Hotel at that time. In 1867 Mrs. Brewer was married to Wm. Brooks who survives her. For many years she was a sufferer from consumption, and for the past year was unable to leave the house. Deceased was a faithful consistent member of the Presbyterian church, and through long months of suffering she bore her afflictions with sublime patience and fortitude. May we all hope that her soul is at peace and her beautiful Christian example may serve as a beacon light to guide other souls into the haven of rest.
