Faye D. Brickey
Former area resident Faye D. Brickey died Thursday, February 27, 1997, in Rapid City, South Dakota. A resident of Hill City, South Dakota, she was 81.
Mrs. Brickey was born November 9, 1915, in Trafalgar to Melford and Alice Barrett Meade.
She and Austin Earl “Dutch” Brickey were married September 25, 1938. He died January 26, 1974.
Mrs. Brickey was graduated from the old Trafalgar High School in 1933.
She attended Abbott Loop Bible College in Anchorage, Alaska.
Mrs. Brickey was a homemaker.
She was a member of Little White Church in Hill City, South Dakota.
Survivors include a son, James R. Brickey of Hill City, South Dakota; a daughter, Mary Ellen Keith of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; a brother, Robert Collier of Franklin; and six grandchildren.
Mrs. Brickey was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Faye Brickey in 1953.
The Reverend Ted Stevenson led a service Wednesday, March 5, at the Vandivier-Tudor Funeral Home in Franklin.
Burial was in that city’s Greenlawn Cemetery.
