==============================
Edward Brewer, postmaster at Whiteland, and son of Samuel Brewer, died Monday morning about two o’clock. He had been in his usual health Sunday, attended church and not until late in the evening felt any distress. On previous occasions he had suffered from what seemed neuralgia of the stomach. Sunday evening, after enduring considerable pain in the region of his stomach, he went to Dr. Terhune and was given a hypodermic injection of morphine to allay the pain as had been done on previous occasions. Returning home he retired and fell into a slumber. About midnight he awakened, saying “My train is about ready to start,” and calling the name of his wife, bid her goodbye. Mrs. Brewer, seeing his condition, became alarmed and sent for the physician. However, nothing could be done to revive Mr. Brewer who had relapsed in that condition until two o’clock when he passed away. Deceased was twenty-five years old and leaves a wife and one little son. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning in the Presbyterian church at Whiteland, conducted by Rev. M. L. Pearson.
