A Baby’s Horrible Death.
R. D. Brewer, of Whiteland, returned Wednesday from Harrodsburg, Ky., where he attended, Monday, the funeral of his only grandchild. This child, which was only nine months old, was left in front of the fireplace by his mother, last Friday and a spark snapped out on its clothing and it was burned to death. Mrs. L. D. Brewer, the child’s mother, heard the child screaming and in attempting to extinguish the fire was severely burned. The child lived in agony until Sunday.
