For the Democrat.
Died.
On Sunday evening, January 25th, 1880, near Danville, Indiana, of lung fever pneumonia, Mrs. Sarah Branch, consort of Henry Branch, aged about 66 years. It is needless for us to say much in her praise, as she has lived in our midst for many years. To know her was to love her. She has gone to that peaceful land, where anguish is never known. A true wife, a devoted mother, an affectionate sister, and an earnest friend and Christian was Mrs. Branch. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved husband, sister and children in their great loss, and hope they and we may all live pure and upright lives that our end may be as hers. Her funeral was preached at Union church on Tuesday by Rev. John Miller to a very large concourse of friends and relatives. Her remains were interred near that church.
