Robert Dale Bowman
Robert Dale Bowman, 58, died Sunday, Oct. 5, 1997, at Johnson Memorial Hospital. He was a resident of Franklin.
He was born Dec. 16, 1938, in Morgan County. His parents were Edward and Edith (Hollowell) Bowman.
He married Glenda Kay (Ayres) Bowman Dec. 30, 1958, in Indianapolis. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Glenn Bowman of Columbus and Robert Bowman Jr. of Danville; a daughter, Julie Wilson of Greenwood; a brother, Phillip Bowman of Indianapolis; five sisters, RoseMary Hancock, Doris Korkos and Carol Doty, all of Indianapolis, Lois Wagner of Carmel and Margaret Burkhardt of Port Charlotte, Fla.; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Bowman; and a sister, Joyce Neal.
He attended Martinsville schools and graduated from Dana High School.
He was employed by Lake Central Allegany[sic] Air Lines from 1964 to 1975 and by Allison Gas Turbine in Indianapolis from 1977 to 1988.
He was a member of Dana Methodist Church and an honorary member of Conservation Bird Dog Club in Amo.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Pastor David Williams will conduct a service at 10 a.m. Wednes day at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home in Franklin. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Stilesville Cemetery in Stilesville.
