EDINBURG, March 3 — Death came to Mrs. Mary Elizabeth (Lib- by) Bowman, one of Edinburg’s most beloved women Friday after- noon at 2:45 o’clock in the Bar- tholomew County Memorial Hospi- tal. She had been a patient there for ten weeks.
Funeral services are to be con- ducted at the Edinburg Methodist church at 2 o’clock Monday after- noon. The Rev. S. T. Klies, pastor of the church, will officiate and burial will be in Rest Haven cemetery.
The body will be returned to the late residence, 212 West Main Cross street, from the Gosney funeral home, and friends may call after 1 o’clock Sunday afternoon. They are invited to attend the rites.
Native Of Indiana
The daughter of the Rev. Israel H. and Hannah C. Mowery Pressly, she was born in Indiana Feb. 4, 1876. Most of her life had been spent in Edinburg where she had made many friends.
She was married to J. Frank Bowman and Mr. Bowman and their child preceded her in death.
Early in life Mrs. Bowman unit- ed with the Lutheran church but had been one of the active and loy- al workers in the Edinburg Metho- dist church for 45 years.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. John Dowd, of Indianapolis; Mrs. Frank Mooney, of Columbus, O., and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth (Libby) Bowman, 75, died at 2:45 o’clock this morning at the Bartholomew County Hospital, where she had been ill for 10 weeks.
She was born in Indiana on Feb. 4, 1876, the daughter of the late Rev. Israel H. and Hannah C. Mowery Pressly. She was the widow of the late J. Frank Bowman. One child died in infancy.
She was a member of the Lutheran Church at one time, but had been an active member of the Methodist Church at Edinburg for 45 years.
She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. John Dowd of Indianapolis and Mrs. Frank Mooney of Columbus, O., several nieces and nephews and other relatives.
The body will be taken from the Gosney Funeral Home in Edinburg to the home at 212 West Main Cross Street, Edinburg, where friends may call after 1 o’clock Sunday. Funeral rites will be conducted at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon at the Edinburg Methodist Church by the Rev. S. J. Kleis. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
