Henry Boner, aged seventy-four, died Sunday night at his home near Whiteland. He was one of the old residents and highly respected in the community. About one year ago a sore came on the great toe of his left foot since which time gangrene set in baffling all medical skill in attempting to allay its progress. On Wednesday of last week Dr. Payne of this city amputated the leg below the knee, but this last resort also failed. The deceased was born in North Carolina but has been a resident of Johnson county for about fifty years.
