The 1850 US Federal Census for Pleasant, Johnson County, Indiana records thirty-one-year-old, New Jersey-born farmer William Blake, his twenty-five-year-old wife, Sarah M. Blake and their Indiana-born children, five-year-old Marshal H., 2-year-old Domicus V. and new-born Harriet A. Blake.
Indiana, Death Certificates, 1899–2011, Greenwood, Pleasant Township, Johnson County, Certificate and Record of Death, Health Officer’s Record Number 40, page 16 records that Sarah Blake died at about 1 o’clock p. m. on 6 May 1900 in Greenwood, Indiana from exhaustion caused by paresis of three months’ duration, contributory cause hemorrhage of lungs of fifteen years’ duration, aged seventy-six years, two months and nine days. She was female, white and a housewife, born in Indiana. Her father's name was Henry Myers and her mother's Hannah Soliberg. The informant was F. N. Rush. Sarah was buried in Greenwood Cemetery on 8 May 1900, Wm. M. Carson, undertaker.
