Marjorie E. Bills
Marjorie E. Bills, 84, died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, at St. Francis Hospital and Health Centers in Beech Grove. She was a resident of Indianapolis.
She was born Aug. 6, 1915, in Johnson County. Her parents were Charles and Mary Alice (Woodsides) Bills. Survivors include three sisters, Mabel Boaz of Lake Placid, Fla., Helen Boaz of Dania, Fla., and Jane Dunham of Edinburgh; a brother, Charles Norman Bills of Roseville, Calif.; 26 nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
She was employed for 16 years by American Legion National Commander as an executive secretary, retiring in 1980. She was previously employed for nine years by American Legion Auxiliary.
She was a 25-year member of Zion Evangelical United Church of Christ. She was a member of Pilots Club and was active in White Cross Guild at Methodist Hospital.
A service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Forest Lawn Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Home, State Road 135 Chapel. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in White River Township.
Memorial contributions may be made to Zion Evangelical United Church of Christ in Indianapolis.
