Mrs. Martha J. Bills died Monday afternoon at one o’clock at her home in Nineveh township, age about fifty-six years. Her husband John Bills, died several years ago. Deceased had been in poor health for some time and during the last three or four months had rapidly declined. Her death was caused by dropsy and other complications. Funeral services occurred at Pisgah Wednesday morning at ten o’clock. Mrs. Bills’ maiden name was Martha Pritchard, she being a sister of Curtis Pritchard of this city. Three other brothers, James Pritchard, John Pritchard, and Robert Pritchard, reside in this county and one Wm. Pritchard at Walker, Missouri. She was a native of Johnson county and belonged to one of the pioneer families. Six children survive her, five sons and one daughter.
