A service for Lena Bills, 75, Faith Nursing Home, Edinburgh, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Eskew Funeral Home in Edinburgh with the Rev. Hugh Owen officiating.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Nineveh Cemetery.
Mrs. Bills was born April 15, 1907, in Johnson County to Basil and Lora (Cook) Spurgeon. She married Nelson Bills July 16, 1950. He survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Alonzo and Bobby L. Burdine, both of Indianapolis, and a daughter, Madeline Burdine, Edinburgh.
Also surviving is a brother, Carl Spurgeon, two half brothers, Darrel and Thadeus Spurgeon, all of Indianapolis, and a half sister, Wanda Stock, Greenwood. Four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.

LENA BILLS
Lena Bills, 75, died Monday, April 19, at 3:10 p.m. at the Faith Nursing Home. She was born April 15, 1907 in Johnson County. She was the daughter of Wm. Basil Spurgeon and Laura Cash. She was married on July 16, 1950 to Nelson Bills, Rt. 1, Nineveh, who survives. She had been a patient at the nursing home for the last 2 years. Funeral will be Thursday, April 22, at 10 a.m. at Eskew Funeral Home. Rev. Hugh Owens will officiate. Burial will be at the Nineveh Cemetery. Calling hours will be after 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Surviving children are Alonzo Burdine and Bobby Burdine of Indianapolis and Madeline Burdine of Edinburgh. Surviving brothers and sisters are Thadeus Spurgeon, Carl Spurgeon and Darrell Spurgeon of Indianapolis; Wanda Stock of Greenwood, 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
