John O. Bandy
A service for John O. Bandy, 73, Edinburgh, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Long Funeral Home, Edinburgh, with the Rev. George Eagler officiating.
Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery, Edinburgh. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Bandy died Wednesday at Johnson County Memorial Hospital, Franklin.
He was born June 22, 1912, in Robinson, Ill., to John Ernest and Laura (Bright) Bandy.
He married Bonnie Lefever Nov. 25, 1933. She survives.
He was retired from the California schools.
He was a member of American Legion Post 233, Edinburgh, and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7964, Edinburgh.
He was a veteran of World War II.
Surviving with his wife are four daughters, Joyce Blankenship, Oxnard, Calif., Joetta McDonald and Jill Bishop, both of Granbury, Texas, and Jane Coughlin, Culver City, Calif., and two sons, John E. Bandy, Marceline, Mo. and Jerry D. Bandy, Culver City, Calif. Nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.
