Obituary.
Departed this life at her father’s residence in Trafalgar, August 15th 1892, Delia, an only daughter of Robert and Serena Baker. She was born December 25th 1866, [died] aged twenty-five years, seven months and twenty days. Her disease was consumption, with which she lingered about eighteen months. She made a profession of religion in 1886 under the ministry of Rev. E. E. Stewart, by whom she was baptized becoming a member of the Trafalgar Baptist church of which she remained an exemplary member until her death.
The writer of this tribute was informed that she was ready and prepared—that she prayed for the time to come when she might go and be with the angels. Brother and Sister Baker, the family circle is broken; shall it not be completed in heaven.
It is sad to part with loved ones here,
It is joy to meet them there
So let us turn to the heavenly home and remember the pertinent and sweet words of Jesus: “He is not dead but sleepeth.” Let this be your comfort and consolation. Her funeral was preached by her pastor Rev. T. A. Childs August 16, 1892, after which she was followed by a large circle of friends to the Bethlehem cemetery; where we laid her in full hope and confidence of a glorious resurrection to eternal life.
