The death of Homer Armstrong whose serious sickness we mentioned last week occurred at the home of his Uncle Tom Webb Thursday evening Sept. 29. Funeral Sunday the 2nd [of October], Mt. Pleasant conducted by Rev. P. O. Duncan and was largely attended. Homer’s death brought sadness to many hearts for he was a good boy and loved by many and the hearts in the home he has left are sadly bereft. Since the death of his father who was a brother of Mrs. Tom Webb and Mrs. James McAlpin he has lived among us making many friends and few if any enemies.
