––––
Fred Applegate, night telegraph operator at Edinburg, and a son of Wm. Applegate of this city, died at his father’s home on the Greensburg road Tuesday morning. Three months ago he married Miss Nettie Graves of Nineveh, a beautiful and accomplished lady. The dread typhoid has claimed another victim, this time choosing one who seemed just entering upon a prosperous career. He was in his 25th year, a K. of P. and a member of the Methodist church. He was an exemplary young [man], and enjoyed the esteem of all who knew him.
