EDINBURG, March 1.—Relatives of William A. Anderson, age 82, who was found dead at the rear of his home in Edinburg Monday morning, have announced that funeral services for the deceased man will be held from the Gosney undertaking parlors, Wednesday afternoon at two o’clock with the Rev. James Baldwin of Columbus in charge. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery at Edinburg.
Mr. Anderson had been a resident of Edinburg for many years and had retired from his active occupation of farming. His death occurred at eleven o’clock Monday morning, while apparently in his usual health he was splitting wood at the rear of his home in Cuba at the south edge of Edinburg. A heart attack came upon him and he passed away before medical aid could be summoned.
Coroner C. M. Jackson of Elizabethtown, who investigated the case pronounced death due to heart trouble, discrediting earlier reports of suicide. William Albert Anderson was born in Hamblen Township, Brown County, January 12, 1850, the son of William and Mary Chandler Anderson, who were pioneer residents of that county. He was married to Miss Elizabeth Jane Smith on January 12, 1876, and soon after their marriage the couple became residents of Edinburg where they have spent their lives.
