¶Edinburgh, Feb. 3—Two persons died of natural causes in the same home here yesterday, Joseph P. Anderson, 79, succumbing in his room at the Adkins residence on East Perry Street at 11 o’clock last night, twelve hours after the death of Harry Adkins, 50.

Both Mr. Anderson and Mr. Adkins had been bedfast for many weeks. Mr. Anderson, a roomer in the Adkins home, had been critically ill the past ten days.

Funeral services for Mr. Anderson will be held at 2:30 o’clock Thursday afternoon at the Mutz Funeral Home. Burial will be made in Rest Haven Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.

Funeral services for Mr. Adkins will be held at 9:30 o’clock Thursday morning at the same funeral chapel in charge of Rev. G. J. Pickett of the Methodist Church. Burial also will be made in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Mr. Anderson was born May 22, 1862, son of Joseph and Mary DeHart Anderson. He spent most of his life in Edinburgh.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Lydia Burton and Mrs. Margaret Critney of Edinburgh and Mrs. Sarah Ellen Leppert of Columbus; two sons, Daniel and Thomas Anderson of Edinburgh; six sisters, Mrs. Martha Kinney, Mrs. Emily Runyon, Mrs. Belle VanDorn, Mrs. Bertha Pruitt, Mrs. Susie Rhodes and Mrs. Lillian Tanner, all of Edinburgh; a brother, George Anderson; 13 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Is Laid To Rest

¶EDINBURG, February 6—Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Mutz funeral home for Joseph Anderson, 79, who passed away Tuesday morning following a long illness. He was a lifelong resident of Edinburg.

The services were in charge of the Rev. Ray Bozell and Mr. Virgil Wheeler sang, “In The Garden” and “Lead Kindly Light”.

The pall bearers were friends of his son, Dan Anderson, members of the firemen group from the Madison proving grounds.
