Ill for four years, George Anderson, 1510 Chestnut St., Columbus, died Monday morning at 2:30 o’clock in the Bartholomew County Hospital at Columbus. He had been ill for four years.
Funeral services have been set for 1:30 o’clock Wednesday afternoon in the Mutz Funeral Home and the Rev. Ard Hoven, pastor of the First Christian Church of Columbus, will be in charge of the service. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home at any time after 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon and until time for the services. They are invited to attend the rite.
Mr. Anderson was born in Edinburg on Feb. 22, 1877, and was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Jane DeHart Anderson.
In 1906, he and the former Elsie Glover were married and two children were born to them.
A resident of Michigan at one time, he was a miller by trade there and also in Minnesota and after returning here had been employed at Hill Brother’s Veneer at Edinburg and at Camp Atterbury.
Mr. Anderson was a member of the First Christian Church in Columbus and the Shelby Masonic Lodge in Michigan.
His survivors are the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Georgia Pruitt of Columbus; a son, Howard L. Anderson, of Muskegan, Mich.; and two grandchildren.
Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Belle Van Dorn, of Cincinnati, Ohio; and Mrs. Susie Rhodes, of Edinburg.
