Frend Anderson Dies at Home In Taylorsville
Frend Anderson, 66, died of self-inflicted gunshot wounds at his home in Taylorsville Friday morning at 6:15 o’clock.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Mutz Funeral Home at 10 o’clock Monday morning with the Rev. Richard Yeaton, of the First Christian Church in Columbus, in charge of the services. Burial is to be made in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home any time after 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon and until time for the services, which they are invited to attend.
The son of the late William B. and Myrtle Alice Smith Anderson, Mr. Anderson was born at Taylorsville on Oct. 3, 1901.
He had spent his life in Taylorsville and was retired.
On June 2, 1942, he married Carla McClain and a son was born to them.
The son, Jerold Anderson, of Fort Collins, Colo.; a step-son, David Gross, of Taylorsville; and three grandchildren survive.
Also remaining are three brothers and three sisters, Glenn Anderson, Mrs. Erma Blythe, of Taylorsville; Yale Anderson, Mrs. Gertie Gates, Mrs. Ruth Cockran, of Indianapolis; and Alvin Anderson, of Santa Ana, Calif.
