EDINBURGH — Elsie G. Anderson, 94, a resident of Columbus Convalescent Center at 2100 Midway, died there Tuesday afternoon. A former resident of Edinburgh, she was the mother of Georgia Pruitt of Columbus.
Funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. Hugh Owen at 1 p.m. Friday at Eskew Funeral Home here where persons may call after 2 p.m. Thursday and until time of services Friday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery here.
Mrs. Anderson was born in Orange County Sept. 18, 1885, the daughter of Uriah Taylor Glover and Eliza Jane Stratton Glover. She was married in 1906 to George W. Anderson who died July 8, 1968. She was a member of Edinburgh Christian Church and Victory Class of First Christian Church at Columbus.

Dies At Columbus
Mrs. Elsie G. Anderson, 94, former resident of Edinburgh, died last Tuesday afternoon at the Columbus Convalescent Center where she was a resident.
Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Hugh Owen of the Edinburgh Christian Church, where Mrs. Anderson was a member, at Eskew Funeral Home Friday at 1:00 p.m. Burial was at Rest Haven Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Loren Gilbert, Maurice Clark, Albertus Runyon, Claude White, Brandys Martin, and Don McNicholas.
Mrs. Anderson was born in Orange County Sept. 18, 1885, the daughter of Uriah Taylor Glover and Eliza Jane Stratton Glover. She was married in 1906 to George W. Anderson who died July 8, 1968. She also was a member of the Edinburgh Christian Church Women’s Fellowship and the Victory Class of the First Christian Church in Columbus.
Survivors include a son, Howard L. Anderson, Muskegan, Mich.; a daughter, Georgia Pruitt of Columbus; a grand-child and one niece.
