Henry Miller of Orestes, Madison County was here Tuesday to attend the funeral of his niece, Miss Ora Alexander.
Ora, the fourteen-year-old daughter of James Alexander and wife, died Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock. She had been sick for a year from a diseased bone, from which she suffered intensely. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from the Christian church conducted by Rev. Wm. Mullendore. Burial at Greenlawn.

Note: Indiana, Death Certificates, 1899–2011, Franklin, Franklin Township, Johnson County, Certificate and Record of Death, Health Officer’s Record Number 31, page 7 records that Ora May Alexander died at about 3 o’clock p. m. on 12 Aug 1900 in Franklin, Indiana from abscess of the bowels of three months’ duration, caused by tuberculosis of six months duration, complicated by septicimia of five months duration, aged fourteen years, five months and no days, born in Rush County, Indiana. She was female, white, and single. Her father’s name was James Alexander and her mother’s maiden name Mary Olive Miller, both born in Indiana. The informant was Mary O. M. Alexander. Ora was buried in Franklin, Indiana on 14 Aug 1900, Dudley Peek, undertaker.
