Death Comes To Mrs. W. B. Adams.

Mrs. Margaret Frances Adams, wife of Wm. B. Adams died Monday evening at 5 o’clock at her home in Amity. Death was due to dropsy and heart trouble from which she had suffered for many months.

Mrs. Adams was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Frost and was born near Bedford, 67 years ago. When a young girl and until her marriage she made her home with her grandmother. On November 23, 1869 she was married to Mr. Adams and had she lived one week longer they would have celebrated their golden wedding anniversary, an event to which they had fondly looked forward for many months. Soon after their marriage they moved to Johnson county where they had since resided.

In early girlhood Mrs. Adams united with the Christian church at Bedford but later moved her mem­bership to the Amity Baptist church. She was a woman of many noble qualities, most sincerely devoted to her home and family, and to the young people of the community did she make her home most hospitable. Her many neighborly acts are cherished by many friends.

Besides the husband she leaves six children. They are: Mrs. Chas. Waltz, Hal Adams and Mrs. John Walden of Indianapolis, Mrs. Cort Mitchell of Clermont, Mrs. Garrie Tilson of this city and Miss Orpha Adams at home.

The funeral will be held Thurs­day morning at 10 o’clock at the home. Friends may call at any hour.

Funeral of Mrs. W. B. Adams.

Funeral services for Mrs. W. B. Adams were held at the home in Amity this morning at 10 o’clock, conducted by the Rev. C. H. Merrill of Franklin college. Mr. Merrill beautifully emphasized the splendid christian virtues which had charac­terized Mrs. Adams life. The Jollity mixed quartet sang favorite hymns. Burial was in the Greenlawn ceme­tery here, the casket bearers being Hal Adams, John Walden, Arlie Waltz, Charles Waltz, John Sears and Garrie Tilson. The flower bearers were Mrs. Gus Fishback and the Misses Lola and Alta Waltz.

Mr. Adams is dangerously ill with pneumonia and was unable to attend the burial services.
