Esther L. (Ketcham) Adams
Esther L. (Ketcham), Adams, 88, died Sunday, March 19, 2000, at her residence, the Heritage House of Connersville.
She was born Sept. 8, 1911, in Fayette County. Her parents were William and Maude Ketcham. She married J. Evan Adams on May 11, 1935. He preceded her in death April 30, 1987. Survivors include a son, Richard L. Adams of Connersville; two daughters, Marilyn J. Reed of Leander, Texas, and Carolyn Brandenburg, of Franklin; a sister, Frances Mason of Cedar Grove; seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Marvin E. Adams, on Oct. 30, 1995; a daughter, Janice Louise Frye, on Feb. 25, 1990; and a brother, Carl Ketcham.
She graduated from Connersville High School.
She was formerly employed for several years at Fayette Memorial Hospital as a nursing assistant. In 1963, she and her husband purchased a farm in Columbia Township, where they farmed for several years.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
The Revs. Kerry Wentworth and Mike Sanders will conduct a service at 2 p.m. Thursday at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home in Connersville. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Dale Cemetery in Connersville.
