    Dies in Hospital
	Funeral Wednesday
	for Grocery Clerk
 Elvin Adams, age 50, for nearly
30 years a clerk in the A. B. La-
Grange & Son grocery here, died
Monday morning at 5 o’clock at the
Long hospital, Indianapolis, where he
had been confined since March 5.
Services will be held at the Van-
divier parlors Wednesday morning
at 10 o’clock, in charge of Dr. O.
Tevis Martin of the Methodist church.
Burial will take place in Greenlawn
cemetery. Friends are invited to call
at the funeral home Tuesday afternoon
and evening, and any time Wednesday
morning.
 Carrying out a last request of Mr.
Adams, the family asked that no
flowers be sent.
 He was born near Morgantown on April
24, 1882, but had lived in Franklin
since early childhood. The son of
James and Alice Admire, he was
married to Miss Nellie Coverdale on
March 3, 1909. She was the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Coverdale.
 Surviving besides the widow are three
sisters and a brother, all living
in Indianapolis. They are Mrs Ella
Miller, Mrs. Effie Garshwiler Mrs.
Elizabeth Hendrickson and Earl Adams.
 The parents, a brother, Arch Ad- 
ams,and a sister, Mrs. Opal Walden,
preceded him in death. Four nieces
and five members also survive.
 Mr. Adams lived at 398 Johnson
Avenue, and was a member of the
Eagles lodge at Columbus.

    FUNERAL IS HELD 
    FOR ELVIN ADAMS
  Funeral services were held at the
Vandivier parlors here Wednesday
morning for Elvin Adams, 50, a 
clerk in the A. B. La Grange & Son 
grocery here for almost thirty years. 
Rites were in charge of Dr. O. 
Tevis Martin, pastor of the Meth-
odist church, and burial was in 
Greenlawn cemetery. Casket bearers 
were Harry Lawhorn, Fremont Mil-
ler, L. W. Oliver, Lindley Wins-
low, Oris Vandivier and Russell Et-
ter.
  Mr. Adams died early   Monday 
morning at the Long hospital in In-
dianapolis; He was born near Mor-
gantown but had spent practically 
his entire life in Franklin.
  Surviving are the widow, three
sisters and a brother.
