MICHAEL McGRAW, of Aurora, Dearborn county Ind., a molder, is a son of John and Mary (Maloney) McGraw, of Ireland. Both parents came to the United States March 10, 1842, and landed at New Orleans, La., remained in that city for a few days, and then came direct to Aurora. The father was a weaver, and worked at his trade until he came to the United States. Michael McGraw was born in Ireland in 1841, and was brought by his parents to America when he was a year old. Our subject attended the common schools, and at the age of sixteen learned the molder`s trade in Aurora, and has worked at it ever since. He was married on April 29, 1867, to Miss Bridget Bannon, a daughter of Michael Bannon, of Aurora; they have seven children, all of St. Mary`s church. Both he and his wife are also true Catholics. He was a member of St. Patrick`s, when it eas in existence, and in politics is a democrat. The children are Mary, Sarah, John and Matthew (died at ten years of age) Paul (died at the age ! of two years), Harry and James. Mr. and Mrs, McGraw are greatly respected in their parish, being equally esteemed by Protestants and Catholics.
