Mrs. Katherine Eberhart Dies After Serious Illness
Mrs. Katherine Kunz Eberhart, 83, died in Good Samaritan Hospital Thursday morning of last week, following a serious illness, just one week after the death of her son-in-law, Frank Berkshire.
Born In Lawrenceburg, Dec. 16, 1874, she was the daughter of George and Elizabeth Ritzmann Kunz, and was married to Charles Eberhart Nov. 17, 1895.
Mr. Eberhart, who died in 1955, served as assistant postmaster in the local post office for many years. He retired in 1939.
Funeral services were conducted from the Moon Funeral Home Saturday, March 1. She was a member of Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church, and services were conducted by the pastor, Rev. Lloyd Weber. Burial was in Greendale Cemetery.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Berkshire, Lawrenceburg, two sons, Edward, White Plains, N.Y., Paul, Milwaukee, Wis., four sisters, Mrs. Georgia Harry, Mrs. Mayme Fox, Miss Alma Kunz, all of Lawrenceburg, and Mrs. Agnes Maischaider, Cincinnati, three grand daughters, Mrs. Linda Halbert, Cincinnati, Mrs. Paulann Goslen, Streator, Ill., and Jo Ann Eberhart,White Plains, N.Y., and two great grandchildren.

John Eberhart died at his home on Shipping street Wednesday of last week at the age of 32 years, 5 months and 16 days. He had been sick for the past nine months with throat disease. John was well liked by all who knew him. He was a faithful member of St. Emanuel's church choir for 19 years, where he will be greatly missed. He was also a member of the order of Odd Fellows, where he at all times took an active part. The funeral took place from St. Emanuel's church Sunday afternoon, where an overwhelming audience heard the masterly and eloquent sermons of Rev. H. Voss of Cincinnati and Rev. F. Semm. Mr. Eberhart leaves two sisters and five brothers and his intended bride, Miss Minnie Menke, who stayed at his bedside until death called him to the world beyond. The floral pieces were beautiful, especially the ones from his fellow employees of the Rossville distillery and the revenue men. The body was laid to rest at Greendale
cemetery.

William Eberhart Rites Held Wednesday
Funeral services for William Eberhart, 83, 555 Ludlow street, a retired distiller, were conducted May 15, at the home of a nephew, Alvin Eberhart, 557 Ludlow street. Burial was in Greendale cemetery.
Mr. Eberhart died Monday, May 13, in a Cincinnati hospital where he had been a patient following a fall three weeks ago in which he suffered a fractured hip.
Mr. Eberhart was the son of the late Henry and Katherine Petre Eberhart, and was born April 7, 1874 in Lawrenceburg, the youngest of ten children, eight of whom were boys. He was the youngest and the last one to die. At the age of 14 he went to work for the old Rossville distillery and this was his only employer. He became head of distilling, which was his position when he resigned in 1936, soon after the sale of the older company to Seagram, after 45 years in the business.
The deceased never married, but resided in recent years with his sister, Miss Elizabeth Eberhart, who died in 1951, living at first on Shipping street, and later in the home built for him at 555 Ludlow street. He was survived by Carl and Alvin Eberhart, nephews who grew up in his home, and other nieces, nephews and relatives.
