Interment Places of
The following are all known marked burial sites that
contain the remains of African-American persons buried
in Kaufman County Texas. The words *FORMER SLAVE on any of
the
**NOTE: These burials all have tombstones or some type of inscribed marker – those graves of persons in Unmarked Graves are in another section. **There are more than 70 graves in the cemetery which are marked only by Stones, Plastic flowers, Pots, Bricks, Pipes and Stakes. There are more than 40 other graves which are evident by mounded or indented soil that have no items marking them.
