In the early years of 1920 my Grandmother DORA WYCHE MITCHELL  left home for reasons unknown. She would never discuss her family and gave little information on her back ground. She went so far as to use an alias surname.

In the sixties while searching for my mothers birth certificate we learned that her last name was or may have been Mitchell She said by Marriage.  Grandmother passed away in the eighties taking all she knew with her.

In 1998 my sisters began the search and through one of your message boards found Grandmothers ggrandniece
leading to two sisters and lots of cousins.  We are so pleased and happy and are now committed to finding more family.  The three of us spend our days and many long nights "surfing".

Pleased and proud to have found William, Joshua and
Robert Drury Mitchell how fought in the Civil War
Joshua was our gggrandfather.  I now spend half my time searching for and transcribing to contribute to the sites.
