ALBAUGH, Dr. Andrew Phillips - Tarpon Springs, March 16 (Special) - Dr. Andrew Phillips Albaugh, 77, resident of Tarpon Springs for 40 years during which he was a leader in numerous civic enterprises, died at his home today. Dr. Albaugh, who came to Florida from Kilgore, Ohio, was a charter member and past president of the Pinellas County Medical association. He was an active surgeon of the Atlantic Coast Line railroad for 37 years and when he tendered his resignation two years ago, the A.C.L. Surgeon's association made him an honorary life member. Dr. Albaugh had been a resident here since 1897 and served several terms as president of the city council. At the time of this death he was city health officer. He recently was recognized as the oldest volunteer weather observer in Florida, having kept records for more than 40 years. Besides his widow, Mrs. Adda Florence Albaugh, survivors are a son, Esten Albaugh, Tarpon Springs; a daughter, Mrs. Harold Lenfesty, Tampa; five grandchildren, Fred and James Lenfesty, Tampa, and Emily, Edith and Earl Albaugh, Tarpon Springs; a brother, Dr. J.W. Albaugh, Mingo Junction, Ohio, and three sisters, Mrs. Lucian Barnett, St. Petersburg; Mrs. Samuel Slates, Beigholz, Ohio, and Mrs. James Smith, Amsterdam, Ohio. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at Trinity Methodist church. The body will lie in state at the church for two hours. ARMINGTON, Joseph W. – The funeral services of Joseph W. ARMINGTON, who died at his home, 930 Ninth avenue north, Apr. 8, will be held Thursday afternoon at the Endicott chapel at 5 o’clock. The Re. Dr. Kerrison JUNIPER will officiate. The body will be sent to South Weymouth, Mass., for interment. George A. ARMINGTON, son of the deceased, will accompany the body. BLOCKER, Harvey – passed away at the Blocker home on Sixth avenue at 10 o’clock last Sunday, after several weeks illness of typhoid fever. The remains were taken to Dade City Monday morning, accompanied by Rev. T. J. PURDUE and the bereaved father and brothers, and interred in the family lot at that place. Harvey was but 20 years of age and one of St. Petersburg’s most popular and promising young men, and his untimely death is a very sad loss to his family and large circle of friends. DIXON,Stephen - Dickson, Stephen – This community was shocked to hear of the sudden death last week of Mr. Stephen Dickson. Mr. Dickson was well known here having worked for W. W. Clark for a good many years and was held in the highest esteem by every body. INGALLS, Mary Elizabeth – age 73, died at her home, 427 Ninth avenue north, Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock. Her son, M.R. INGALLS, local business man, survives. The funeral services will be held at the Wilhelm chapel Friday afternoon at 3 o’clock. The body will be sent to Hunter, N.Y., for burial. JEFFORDS, Sarah E. (Mrs.) – We are pained to announce the death of Mrs. Sarah E. JEFFORDS, a lady of excellent Christian character and highly esteemed in this community. Her death, which occurred at Ocala on the 12th inst., was peaceful and easy. She has left three sons and one daughter, and other relatives, besides a host of friends to mourn her departure. While it is well with her, the sympathies of many will go out to the bereaved sons and daughter who are now deprived of her presence and counsels. POND, Mary A. - Mrs. Mary A. Pond died this morning after an illness of several months, originating in an attack of la grippe. She declined gradually until her death. Mrs. Pond was a pioneer resident of Tarpon Springs, coming here thirty-odd years ago from Jamestown, N.Y. She was 84 years of age and was the widow of A.C. Pond. She leaves a daughter, Miss Mattie Pond. Services will be held tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock from the home, with interment in Cycadia cemetery, L.D. Vinson having charge of the burial. PORTER, J.C. – 919 Mount Desert street north, died Wednesday morning at his home after a short illness. His wife survives, PORTER was a member of the G.A.R. and the local post will be in charge of the ceremonies. The funeral services will be held at the home of the deceased, Friday morning. WEIHMAN, Henry S. – age 31, who died suddenly Wednesday morning at his home, 562 Seventh avenue south, will be buried at Episcopal cemetery Thursday afternoon at 3 o’clock. WEIHMAN was born in St. Petersburg, close to the place where he will be buried. He was a member of the local Elks and an ex-navy man. The Elks and naval reserves will act as escorts to the body. WILLING, Edward – Edward Willing, son of Mrs. S.E. Willing, of Ashtabula, Ohio, died last Wednesday night at the Robinson home at Crystal Beach, where they have been spending the winter. Edward and his mother came here early in November hoping that the winter here would benefit him, but rheumatism and heart trouble had so firm a hold on him that he gradually grew worse and passed away on Wednesday night. Mrs. Willis [sic] left for home on Thursday noon with the body. Edward had made many friends while here and the family have the sympathy of the entire community. Edward was 15 years old.
