Broadway Looking West Circa 1910

Looking west down Broadway circa 1910. This was the center of the business district at that time. Horses and buggy's are still the most common method of transportation. Roadways are yet unpaved and some sidewalks have apparently been constructed of poured concrete or another like substance. Notice the fire hydrants, so a central water supply system is in use in 1910. Auto's would not become the normal mode of transport for another 10 years. Another 10 years will also bring us paved streets.
