Blue Pond Cemetery

Camp Blanding

Clay County, Florida

Camp Blanding is a military reservation operated by the Florida National Guard as a training facility. Prior to visiting this or any of the other 4 cemeteries located at Camp Blanding permission must be obtained and you may have to have an escort should the Camp be in use at the time of your visit. Visitors must use caution as the trails are narrow and rough and in some instances seasonal vegetation may scratch the automobile finish. All five cemeteries are marked and fenced and the access roads and trails are clear and passable.

This cemetery is no longer active. The only burials that may take place there at this time are spouses and children of those already buried there and special permission from the Florida National Guard must be obtained for that burial.

Directions:
Starting from the boat ramp at Blue Pond take the tank trail which runs south-east. Approximately 200 meters down the trail take the unmarked trail that branches off to the right at a 35 degree angle. Follow that trail until it ends. The cemetery will be on the left hand side.
