I, Sarah J. Burt, unmarried, of the County of Bradford and State of Florida, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, but being mindful of the uncertainties of this life, so make, publish and declare this instrument as and for my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking any and all wills by me at any time heretofore made.


I direct  - my Executor, hereinafter named, to pay all my just debts and funeral expenses as soon after my decease as can be done without inconvenience to him or detriment to my estate.


I give, devise and bequeath unto my Brother Lewis P. Burt of Saratoga Springs, New York the sum of Fifty Dollars. To have and to hold the same to him and his heirs forever in fee simple.


I give, devise and bequeath unto my Sister Helen M. Deyoe of Bacon Hill, New York the sum of Fifty Dollars. To have and to hold the same to her and her heirs forever in fee simple.


I give, devise and bequeath unto my niece Hattie B. Deyoe of Bacon Hill New York, the sum of one Hundred Dollars. To have and to hold the same to her and her heirs forever in fee simple.


I give, devise and bequeath unto my friend Laura B. Sutton of Saratoga Springs New York, the sum of Three Hundred Dollars. To have and to hold the same to her and her heirs forever in fee simple. Subject to the conditions hereinafter stated.


I give, devise and bequeath unto my friend Mrs. Mary E. Millett - (formally Mary E. Bailey) of Salt Lake City, Utah, the sum of Three Hundred Dollars. To have and to hold the same to her and her heirs forever in fee simple. Subject to the conditions hereinafter stated.


I give devise and bequeath unto my friend Margaret A. Frost of Marietta Georgia The sum of Three Hundred Dollars. To have and to hold the the same to her and her heirs forever in fee simple. Subject to the conditions hereinafter stated.


In the event of the death of either of the said Laura B. Sutton, Mary E.

Millett or Margaret A Frost, Legatees under this Will, prior to my decease, then I desire and direct the bequest herein made to such Legatees as may be dead at the time of my decease shall go the two surviving Legatees. Share and share alike and in the event of the death of two of said Legatees prior to my decease. Then I desire the said bequeaths to go the the surviving Legatee.  To have and to hold the same to her and her heirs forever in fee simple.


I give, devise and bequeath unto my sister Mrs. Helen M. Deyoe of Bacon Hill New York, the crayon portrait of her daughter Hattie B. Deyoe. To have and to hold the same to her and her heirs forever in fee simple. 


I give, devise and bequeath unto my niece Hattie B. Deyoe of Bacon Hill New York, the India Ink Portrait of my Mother. Six solid silver forks marked "R. Burt" and a solid silver tablespoon marked "R.S.", to have and to hold the same to her and her heirs forever in fee simple. 


I give, devise and bequeath unto my friend Mrs. Lula Gouger my piano to have and to hold the same to her and her heirs forever in fee simple. 


I give, devise and bequeath unto my friend Mrs. Mary Churchhill my watch and chain to have and to hold the same to her and her heirs forever in fee simple. 


All the rest and residue of my property of every kind nature and description, real personal or mixed, whatever the same may be situated, which I now or hereafter acquire and of which I shall die seized and possessed, I give and bequeath unto my niece Hattie B. Deyoe of Bacon Hill New York. To have and to hold the same to her and her heirs forever in fee simple. 


It is my desire and request that my sister Mrs.Helen M. Deyoe take charge of and care for the property real and personal that may be embraced in said residuary devise for the sole use and benefit of the said

Hattie B. Deyoe and use the same and income thereof only and exclusively for the benefit and pleasure of said Hattie B. Deyoe.
I nominate Constitute and appoint Charles P. Gouger of the County of Bradford and State of Florida to be the Executor of this my last Will and Testament and I devise and request that no bond or bonds or other security be required to enable him to qualify and act as such Executor.
In witness whereof I hereunto subscribed my name affixed my seal and published and declared the foregoing instrument as and for my last Will and Testament at Lawtey Bradford County Florida this May 10th day of May AD 1902 in the presence of the witnesses whose names are subscribed hereunto as attesting Witnesses, who, each in my presence and the presence of each other at my request and by my express direction have hereunto subscribed their names as witnesses.

The foregoing instrument was on the 10th day of May A.D. 1902 at Lawtey Bradford County Florida duly signed and sealed, published and declared by the testatrix therein, the said Sarah J Burt in the presence of the undersigned as and for her last Will and Testament, and the undersigned each in the presence of the said Sarah J Burt and in the presence of each other, at the request and by the express direction of the said Sarah J. Burt have hereunto subscribed our names as attesting Witnesses.

                                            Before me Geo. A. Gardiner
County Judge in and for said County, personally appeared GW Brown who being by me duly sworn, says that he was personally present as subscribing and attesting witness with Joseph Crawshaw and Louis H Hill who were also present as subscribing and attesting witnesses and saw the testatrix Sarah J Burt subscribe her name to the instrument of writing hereto annexed as and for her last Will and Testament and that the said Sarah J Burt did then and there in the presence of the said Joseph Crawshaw, Louis H Hill and affiant publish and declare the same to be her last will and Testament.
That the said Joseph Crawshaw G.W. Brown and Louis H Hill witnesses did then and there at the personal request of the said Sarah J Burt and in her presence and in the presence of each other subscribe their names thereto as attesting witnesses, and the said G.W. Brown further swears that he verily believes the said instruments of writing hereto annexed was subscribed published and declare and attested as aforesaid to be the true last will and testament of said testatrix Sarah J Burt.

                                            Before me Geo. A. Gardiner
County Judge in and for said County, personally appeared Louis H Hill who being by me duly sworn, says that he was personally present as subscribing and attesting witness with Joseph Crawshaw and G.W. Brown who were also present as subscribing and attesting witnesses, and saw the testatrix Sarah J Burt subscribe her name to the instrument of writing hereto annexed as and for her last Will and Testament, and that the said Sarah J Burt did then and there, in the presence of the said Joseph Crawshaw, G. W. Brown and affiant published and declare the same to be her last Will and testament:


That the said Joseph Crawshaw G.W. Brown and Louis H Hill, witnesses, did then and there at the personal request of the said Sarah J Burt, and in her presence, and in the presence of each other, subscribe their names thereto as attesting witnesses, and the said Louis H Hill further swears that he verily believes the said instrument of writing hereto annexed was subscribed, published and declared, and attested as aforesaid, to be the true last Will and Testament of said testatrix the said Sarah J Burt.
