Will of Hugh R. Williams of Hampton, Bradford County, FL 1892

The last Will of me Hugh R. Williams of the State of Florida, and County of Bradford, being of sound mind at the time of making and publishing this my last Will and Testament.


I give and devise all my Estate, real & personal whereof I may die seized or possessed to T. A. Williams my wife that she may sell and dispose of to the best interest that she may deem proper and the proceeds to use for her support during her natural life, the remainder of such proceeds to be divided equally between my ten children or their survivors.


In testimony whereof I the above names H. R. Williams have hereunto set my hand and seal this 25th day of April A.D. 1892.

Then and there signed and sealed and published by H. R. Williams as for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request and in his presence, and in the presence of each other have hereto set our names as witnesses.

County of Bradford.   }        Personally appeared before me the subscriber, County Judge in and for the County aforesaid, Tate Powell who being duly sworn says that he was present at Hampton in Bradford County State of Florida on the twenty-fifth day of April 1892, Affiant further says that on said date he was present and witnesses a will bearing said date made and executed by me Hugh R. Williams, Affiant further says that at the request of said Hugh R. Williams and in his presence he signed the said Last Will and Testament as a witness and that H.C. Surrency and J.F. Bunch also at the same time and in the presence of & at the request of said Hugh R. Williams became subscribing witnesses and that we signed the same in the presence of each other and each of us saw the said Hugh R. Williams signed the said Last Will & Testament, and that the said Hugh R. Williams published and proclaimed said last Will and Testament to be his own free act and deed.-- Affiant further says, that he is no way interested in said last Will & Testament and that the instrument now exhibited to him as the last Will & Testament of said Hugh R. Williams is the one to which he became a subscribing witness and that he recognises his signature to the same as his genuine signature which said Last Will & Testament is hereto attached, Sworn & Subscribed to,--      Tate Powell.

State of Florida              }        Order admitting Will to Probate.
The above cause coming in to be heard this 14th day of October A.D. 1892. And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that the foregoing examination of above subscribing witness to the foregoing affidavit is sufficient proof upon which to admin said exhibited last Will and Testament of the said Hugh R. Williams, deceased, to Probate, it is therefore ordered, adjudged and decreed that and the same is hereby admitted to Probate the Fourteenth day of October, A.D. 1892. Given under my hand with the seal of said Probate Court hereto officially fixed at Starke Fla., the day and year last written.
