The eyesight of Arthur GRAIN, who was injured several weeks ago while working on a smokestack, when cement fell into his eyes, cannot be fully recovered, the attending physician says. Although GRAIN will be able to see slightly, it is a matter of conjecture whether he will recover sufficiently to work, or to render such services which would require ordinary sight. His eyes are still bandaged, and when the bandages are removed from the left eye, he is able to walk about and find his way. With the right eye he can merely distinguish light and dark objects.
The young man's home is in Duluth but he will remain at St. Nicholas hospital until it is definitely decided what efforts are to be taken in his behalf.
