The marriage of Miss Hannah O'Connell and Mr. John Gaynor occurred at St.
Michael's church, Mitchell, Tuesday April 26th, Rev. Father Burke
pronouncing the ceremony. Miss Katie O'Connell assisted as bridesmaid, and
Mat Gaynor as groomsman. The bride's costume consisted of a beautiful
heliotrope trimmed with white brocaded satin and lace. The groom wore the
customary suit of black. After the ceremony the bridal party returned to
the home of the bride's parents, where a reception was held. The day and
evening were most enjoyably spent in music songs and dancing. The groom is
an industrious young man and of good habits; while the bride is a lady of
kind disposition and rare talents, who has a large circle of friends, who
wish the happy couple a bright and happy future. They will make their
future home in Plymouth. The presents were costly and numerous, among which

$50; Mr. and Mrs. T. Herity, lounge; Mr. and Mrs. George Lindsay, $10 and
lamp; Mr. and Mrs. J. Lindsay, linen table cloth; Mr. and Mrs. Miles
Gallagher and family, $5, table cloth, bed spread, one half dozen napkins,
pair of towels and plush album; Mr. and Mrs. P.H. McNicholas, clock; Mr.
and Mrs. J. Brogan, table cloth and one half doz. napkins; Mr. and Mrs.
E.M. O'Connell, $5, wash bowl and pitcher and picture throw; Katie and
Sarah Lindsay, pair of towels and cake tray; Ella and Johnny Herity, one
half dozen silver knives and forks; Mollie and George Lindsay, brush broom
and holder; Frank McNicholas, scissors; Frank Sherman, $?; Ed. Burke,
silver castor; Steve Douglas, one half dozen silver teaspoons and
tablespoons; Mat Gaynor, $10; Eliza Gaynor, bed spread and $3; J.J.
O'Connell, center table; Katie and Bid O'Connell, table scarf and sofa
pillow.
