Miss Carol Pierringer Is Wed To Arthur Butzen
Marriage promises were repeated on Saturday morning by Miss Carol L. Pierringer and Arthur H. Butzen during an 11 o'clock
ceremony performed in the rectory of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Port Washington, by Rev. Peter J. Hildebrand.
Mr. and Mrs. Leo Pierringer, 137 E. Cleveland St., Port Washington, are parents of the bride and the bridegroom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Butzen, Route 3, Sheboygan.
The bride chose a floor-length gown of white nylon tulle with a neckline trimmed with sequins, a full skirt with rows of
nylon tulle ruffles around the entire skirt and a short train. She wore a three-quarter-length veil, attached to a
headpiece with sequin trim. The bridal bouquet was comprised of roses and feathered carnations.
Matron of honor for the service, Mrs. Edward Wengel, cousin of the bride, wore a floor-length gown with multiple layers
of pink net and small artificial flowers under layers of net. She carried a bouquet of feathered carnations. A
similarly-styled gown in blue was donned by the bridesmaid, Miss Violet Butzen, sister of the bridegroom.
Loschel Pierringer, brother of the bride, served as best man, and the groomsman was Raymond Butzen, similarly related to
the bridegroom.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at American Legion Club Rooms in Port Washington, where 350 relatives and
friends were entertained.
The newlyweds will reside on Route 3, Sheboygan. The bridegroom is employed as a welder.
