Milwaukee is the city in which a couple married Saturday, September 3, will be residing. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph M. Shircel Jr., who went to Niagara Falls and Toronto, Canada, for a honeymoon, returned Sunday. Their address is 3049 S. 6th St.. The bride is the former Miss Shirley Ahles.

Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Milwaukee was the scene of the nuptial Mass celebrated by the Rev. Carl M. Kazmierczak for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ahles, Sr., Milwaukee, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Shircel Sr., R. 3, Sheboygan.

The altar was decorated with gladioli. A large bouquet of white chrysanthemums was placed on the altar of the Blessed Virgin by the bride.

While silk organza was the fabric of the bridal gown, which was styled with a scoop neckline, trimmed with embroidered lace appliques adorned with seed pearls and iridescent sequins. Long sleeves and a chapel train were other details of styling. A long, French tulle veil with a tiara of pearls and crystals complemented the bridal attire. White carnations with pink rose centers were the flowers in the bride's bouquet. The bridegroom's gift was a set of pearls, necklace and earrings. Her father presented her in marriage.

Miss Nancy Marszalkowski was the maid of honor. Miss Arlena Mayhew, Miss Kathleen Johnson and Miss Kathleen Shircel, cousin of the bridegroom, comprised the trio of bridesmaids, and Linda Rejman, the bride's cousin was in a junior role. They were identically attired in turquoise blue, street-length dresses of silk organza over taffeta, styled with scoop necklines and butterfly backs. Each carried a bouquet of pink and white carnations with turquoise ribbon. Pearl necklace and earrings were the bride's gift to the attendants.

Cousin of the bride, Patricia Rejman of Milwaukee, in the role of flower girl, appeared in a dress that had a bodice of white organza and a full, net skirt. The cummerbund was in a turquoise shade. Pink and white carnations filled the satin basket she carried.

Role of best man was taken by Larry Meyer. Brothers of the bride, Harold and Jerry Ahles, with one similarly related to the bridegroom, Robert Shircel, as groomsmen, and two ushers, both uncles of the couple, Raymond Thanig, and Methodius Shircel, completed the wedding party.

Besides a wedding breakfast, there was a reception and both were held at Li Gene Hall, where 350 guests were entertained. They came from Grand Rapids, Michigan, Wisconsin Rapids, Mosinee, Racine, Sheboygan, West Allis and Cedarburg.

A graduate of West Allis Central School in Sheboygan and is a laboratory technician at Kurth Malting Co.. The bridegroom has a diploma from Central High School in Sheboygan and is draftsman for Allstate Design and Development Co.
