Miss Helen Gruenke and Roger Siegworth were married this morning, prior to a
9 o'clock nuptial mass, celebrated by the Rev. D. Albert Riel in St. Peter
Claver church. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph J. Gruenke,
1723 S. Seventh street, and Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Klar, Manitowoc, are the
parents of the bridegroom.
Releatives of the couple were in the wedding party. Miss Germaine Gruenke
was her sister's maid of honor and Miss Germaine Hiller, the bridegroom's
sister-in-law, acted as bridesmaid. Joseph W. Gruenke, the bride's brother,
had the responsibilities of best man and Melvin Hiller, the bridegroom's
brother-in-law, acted as groomsman. Usher roles were taken by Roman and
Clarence Gruenke, brothers of the bride.
Dinner is being served at the Johnny Fox place and the reception will be held
at Standard hall.
When Mr. Siegworth and his bride return from northern Wisconsin and Canada,
they will reside at 1604 S. Seventh street. The former Miss Gruenke is a
1946 graduate of Central High school and is employed at the H. C. Prange Co.
Her husband received his diploma from North High school in 1942 and a degree
from the University of Wisconsin in 1949. He works for the Wisconsin State
Employment service.
