Stroschein - Kuitert
Nuptial vows were repeated by Miss Helen Stroschein and Hilbert Kuitert in a
2 o'clock service held Saturday afternoon in Bethlehem Lutheran church. The
bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Barney Stroschein, 1134 Swift avenue,
and she was wed to the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Kuitert, 2015 N. Ninth
street. The Rev. H. H. Wegner read the service.
Mr. Robert Kuenne, sister of the bride, was matron of honor for the ceremony,
and the maid of honor chosen was Miss Irma Hoehnke. The bridesmaids were
Mrs. Robert Reinholz, the bridegroom's sister, and Miss Ann Sieber. The
miniature bride in the procession was Kathleen Drews, the bride's cousin.
Another of the younger ones was Jerome Timm, nephew of the bridegroom, who
served as ring bearer.
The bridegroom's brother, Nick Kuitert, was asked to be best man.
Brothers-in-law of the couple, Robert Kuenne and Robert Reinholz, ushered the
guests.
Soloist was Miss Nancy Burhop, the bride's cousin, who sang "The Lord's
Prayer" and "O Perfect Love," with Henry Englehardt accompanying at the organ.
Twenty-seven guests were served a wedding dinner at Croatian hall, where 200
relatives and friends were entertained at a reception. Mr. and Mrs. John
Drews and Gail, Mr. and Mrs. Byron Weber, Mr. and Mrs. O. Gorter, Mr. and
Mrs. Frank Schwab, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Spude, Jacqueline and
Susan, Sturgeon Bay; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Holdridge, LaVonne and Roger, Wausau;
William Pfeiler, New York, N.Y., and George Kuitert, Mary Alyce Deteiler,
Fond du Lac, were guests from away.
Mr. Kuitert and his bride will be living at 1134 Swift avenue, after June 19.
