Miss Opgenorth Becomes Bride Of Thomas Houston
Miss Ardelle Opgenorth, daighter of Mrs. Caroline Opgenorth, N. Twenty-third
street and Indiana avenue, became the bride of Thomas Houston of Glasgow,
Scotland, at a ceremony performed at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon in St.
Andrew's Lutheran church by the Rev. Martin Hueter.
A brown and white crepe gown with accessories to match was worn by the bride.
She held white and yellow chrysanthemums.
Miss Viola Drews, attending as bridesmaid, wore a green velvet and crepe
dress with accessories to correspond. Her flowers were yellow chrysanthemums.
Leo Walsh was the groom's best man.
A wedding dinner for twenty-five guests, followed by a reception, was held at
the home of the bride's mother, after the church service. Decorations were
in yellow and white with cut flowers. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Elmer
Kuester of Fond du Lac and Miss C. Hall of Milwaukee.
After December 1, the couple will be at home to their friends at 1130 Swift
avenue.
