Miss Evelyn Ida Dyke And Eugene M. Koene Married
This afternoon at 3 o'clock in the parsonage of Trinity Lutheran church, Town
Wilson, Miss Evelyn Ida Dyke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Dyke, Sheboygan
Falls, route 3, was united in marriage with Eugene Martin Koene, Sheboygan
Falls, route 3, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Koene of Plymouth. The double
ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. J.A. Wagner.
A white satin gown, styled with leg-o-mutton sleeves and a lace jacket was
worn by the bride. Her long tulle veil and blush veil with a hand-rolled
edge, fell from a cap ornamented with orange blossoms. She held a shower
bouquet of roses, pompons, chrysanthemums and babybreath.
Blue taffeta fashioned the gown worn by Miss Doris Dyke, only sister of the
bride, attending as maid of honor. She wore a matching tiara and face veil
and carried a colonial bouquet of mixed flowers.
Roman Koene attended his brother as best man.
A wedding supper and reception are being held at the home of the bride's
parents for 30 guests, after which the couple will leave on a short wedding
trip. Mr. Koene and his bride will reside at Sheboygan Falls, route 3.
Thursday evening Mrs. Adolph Hessler and Mrs. Marvin Hessler were hostesses
at a miscellaneous shower for the pleasure of the bride, at their home in
Town Wilson. Bunco was played and honors went to Mrs. Earl Hausler, Eugene
Koene and Mrs. Albert Dyke.
A surprise shower was also held in honor of the young couple on Wednesday
evening at Kampman's hall, Weeden Station.
