A PRETTY WEDDING
A pretty wedding took place at St. Micheal's (sic) church in Mitchell on
Wednesday, June 30th, when Miss Estella Dewire of Mitchell and Mr. John
Sullivan of Adell were married by the Rev. Father Hoog. The bride was
attended by her cousin, Miss Marie Burke and Miss Lucile Heraty. The groom
was attended by his brother George Sullivan of Adell, and Mr. Earl Dewire,
while Miss Dorthy Tranow of Milwaukee, a cousin of the bride, carried
flowers. The bride wore a veil and was attired in a very becoming gown of
white silk net and lace over chiffon taffeta and wore a corsage bouquet of
lilies of the valley. The bridesmaid was attired in a gown of white silk
crepe trimmed with shadow lace and the maid of honor, wore a gown of lace
cloth, trimmed with shadow lace and bolero of chiffon taffeta. Both
attendants wore corsage bouquets of pink sweet peas. The groom and
attendants wore blue cheviot.
After the ceremony, a reception was held, at the home of the bride's
parents, which was tastefully decorated for the occasion. In a shower of
rice and good wishes, Mr. and Mrs. John Sullivan left at 3:30 P.M. on and
extended wedding trip to Janesville and other points. Both young people
(have) many friends who wish (them happi)ness.
