FITZPATRICK-SMITH NUPTIALS
The marriage of Miss Martin(a) Fitzpatrick and George Smith of this town was
solemnized at St. Clemon's Catholic church, Sheboygan on Wednesday, November
24th. Rev. E. Stephenson of Keokuk, Iowa; Rev. Blockmore of St. Thomas
church, Milwaukee and Rev. Francis Murphy of Sheboygan sang a solemn nuptial
mass. Rev. Stephenson pronounced the words that made them man and wife.
Special music numbers (were) rendered during the ceremony. The bride was
pretty in a blue suit with fur trimmings and a hat to match. She wore a
corsage bouquet of bridal roses and sweet peas. Miss Marion Smith, sister
of the groom, was the maid of honor and was attired in a blue satin dress
with steel trimmings. She carried an arm bouquet of white chrysanthemums.
(?) Fitzpatrick was attired in a blue (suit) with steel trimmings. (She
carried a cor)sage bouquet of roses (and sweet pe)as. Harry Smith acted (as
best) man. After the ceremony a (lunche)on was held at the bride's home
which was prettily decorated for the occasion. A five course dinner was
served for about seventy guests. The bridal couple left on the afternoon
train for a honeymoon trip but kept their destination (a se)cret. They will
be at home to their friends here after December (?) on the groom's farm.
