WEDDING BELLS
At 9 o'clock Tuesday morning, Feb. 7, at St. Paul's Catholic church in this
village, occurred the marriage of Miss Kathryn O'Brien, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. P.H. O'Brien, and Mr. Nelson Roberts, son of Mr. and Mrs. David
Roberts, both of the village of Mosinee, Rev. Fr. Geahard Vadder
officiating. The bride was neatly attired in a costume of navy blue, the
groom wearing a neat suit of black; Miss Amelia Roberts, sister of the
groom, attending the bride and Mr. Maurice O'Brien, brother of the bride,
attending the groom.
After the ceremony and congratulations at the church, the bridal party
together with the young ladies of the choir, repaired to the home of the
bride where a sumptuous wedding dinner was served. Pink and white
carnations, smilax and house plants being in profusion on the tables and
about the dining room, together with draperies and festoons of green crepe,
making the room look like a flower garden in the month of June.
The bride is a popular young lady of pleasing appearance, and during her
residence in the village has made many friends, while the groom is a young
man of many excellent qualities, honest, upright and progressive, with
prospects bright in the business world. He is manager of his father's store
and as such is proving himself a success.
The newly-wedded couple were the recipients of many useful presents of
beauty and value.
Mr. and Mrs. Roberts are now at home in nicely furnished apartments over the
store.
THE TIMES, together with their host of friends, extend congratulations, and
may their home ever be blessed with a bountiful supply of sunshine.
