(First part torn off) April 10, 1912, St. (?) Church was the scene of a most joyous event. There was gathered a number of admiring friends and relatives to witness the nuptials of Thomas Murphy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Murphy of Plymouth and Miss Magdalene Slattery of Mitchell, daughter of Mrs. M. Slattery. The ceremony was solemnized at 10 o'clock A.M. by Rev. (?) H. Fisher of Cascade. As the wedding party proceeded up the aisle of the church the strains of a beautiful wedding march burst forth from the organ which was presided over by Miss Mamie Burke. The groom's best man was his brother George Murphy of Milwaukee, while the bride was attended by her cousin Miss Mary Michels who together followed the bridal couple to the altar, where their troth was plighted and the nuptial mass was celebrated.

The bride was handsomely attired in a creation of white marquisette over white messaline and wore a hat to match, while the dress of the maid of honor was pink messaline and also wore a hat to match. Following the ceremony the happy couple repaired to the home of the bride's mother where a reception was held to about twenty immediate relatives and intimate friends. Mr. and Mrs. Murphy took their departure on the evening train for Milwaukee and Chicago where they will spend their honeymoon.

The bride is one of Mitchell's most estimable young ladies. Mr. Murphy is one of Plymouth's most popular and prosperous young men who possesses sterling habits and (quali)ties. Mr. and Mrs. Murphy will be at home in Mitchell after (?) 1st and all wish them a long happy life.
