DONAHUE-MURPHY NUPTIALS
On Tuesday morning, February 16, at St. Patrick's church in Plum River
occurred the marriage of Miss Irene M. Donahue, of Stockton, and Raymond J.
Murphy, of Milwaukee, Wis. Father Heinzler pronounced the words which made
them man and wife.
The bride is the youngest daughter of Mrs. D.J. Donahue and has lived in
Pleasant Valley all her life. Mrs. Murphy is one of our most popular young
ladies and is one capable of filling the home she will adorn with happiness.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. P.H. Murphy, of Milwaukee, and for the
last two years has been engaged in the cheese business in this locality. By
those who know him he is considered a substantial and promising young man.
Miss Bertha Cushman, cousin of the bride, acted as bridesmaid while the
groom was attended by George Callan.
After the wedding ceremony they departed to the bride's home where a
bountiful dinner was served to the immediate relatives. It is a pleasure to
chronicle the marriage of two such worthy young people and the HERALD
extends to them its congratulations.
